When I first met Liam in March 2012, I was 97kg and having some serious back problems. Faced with making a choice between having surgery on my back or losing the weight and strengthening my core, it was an easy decision. I came to Liam with a goal of getting to 80kg by my birthday in July. "Easy" he said. I wasn't so sure.
We got there with 3 days to spare. I hadn't been so happy in a long time. Along with dropping 17kg, I lost 9cm from my chest, 14cm from my waist, 8cm from my hips and dropped my body fat % from 25% to 17%. Inspired by this, I've now set a new goal of getting to 13% body fat by Christmas, as well as further improving my core strength and fitness levels and adding some muscles in the right places. I may even be able to get into singlets by summer.
My training program works really well for me. I've had a gym membership before, but I've never stuck to it. I only have to turn up once a week, and it's something I look forward to every week. Training never feels like a chore, and I'm continually trying to improve in each session, either with heavier weights or doing more reps. Liam always pushes me that little bit further than I think I can manage, and has got me doing things now that I never thought possible (like lifting my own body weight doing chin-ups). Everything is controlled and safe and I've never had an injury.

Liam has regular contact with me, and gives me plenty of feedback on my eating habits and personal cardio work. This all helps to keep me focused on my goals. I haven't had to cut out any of the food I love, or the beers after footy with the boys, it's all about making smarter choices. I've learned a lot in the last 6 months about nutrition and training, and love talking to others about it now.
When I entered the doors at Tomfit, I was literally a broken man. Liam has fixed me, and has really turned my life around. I have more energy for my wife and child, and my mood is a lot more positive. I'm happier and healthier than I've ever been. It's an amazing feeling when people notice how good you look, and I've even had a couple of people tell me I've inspired them to do the same.
Thank you so much Liam. I know you always tell me that it's me doing the work, but I would never have gotten here without you. Cheers mate. See you in the studio.
